Abstract

Parasitic infections continue to be a relevant public health problem due to their morbi- mortality and relationship with social determinants. In Chile, several parasitic infections are notifiable, reflecting their epidemiological importance. Although these infections usually involve organs such as the digestive, hepatic or cardiovascular system, they can also manifest in the otorhinolaryngological sphere, which represents a diagnostic challenge. This literatu- re review aims to analyze the main parasites that can affect structures relevant to otorhino- laryngology, describing their clinical manifestations and initial approach.
