Abstract

The pneumocele corresponds to a rare condition consisting of the abnormal dilation of the paranasal sinuses expanding beyond normal anatomical limits, causing erosion of the surrounding bone walls. The case of a healthy 26-year-old male patient is presented, who consults due to a four-year history of intermittent right facial pain predominantly in the cheek area. A sinus cavity scan and endoscopic evaluation are performed, with the final study concluding maxillary pneumocele. Surgical intervention is carried out, achieving symptomatic relief.
