The study has received approval from our hospital’s ethics committee. Results: A total of 13 patients with a diagnosis of foreign bodies in the airway were included. 62% of the patients were male. The age ranged from 0 to 11 years, with a median age of 1 year. 100% of the patients presented respiratory symptoms, and 90% presented with a penetration syndrome. The foreign body was evident in 30% of the X-rays. All airway reviews were conducted with spontaneous ventilation. 70% of the foreign bodies were located in the bronchi.
