Abstract

Endoscopic sinus surgery is a frequent procedure in Otorhinolaryngology practice, in the last decade new techniques have been introduced to help the resection of tumors in regions tra- ditionally considered of difficult access. One of these techniques is the trans-septal approach, which allows the approach of the anterior and lateral wall of the maxillary sinus, as well as four- handed work for approach of these tumors. The aim of this review is to describe the transeptal endoscopic approach as a complementary technique in the endoscopic surgery of benign nasal tumors, specifically inverted papilloma and juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma.
